PICKERING'S Great Britain international athlete Richard Buck scored a victory at the Inter City Indoor Challenge in Glasgow at the weekend.
Running for Sheffield, the one-lap specialist took victory in his first indoor race of the season in 48.56 seconds in the men's 400 metres, and then confessed he wasn't satisfied with the run.
Buck, who made his senior international debut last year in the 4x400 metres relay, said: "I don't think I judged it very well. I was thinking the finish line was at the end of the straight as it is outdoors - it's just habit. I'll try and remember next time."
Nestle Rowntree AC ace Buck runs in the North of England champships next weekend followed by the Norwich Union European Trials at Sheffield and, hopefully, the Europeans in Birmingham.
