I WAS one of the winners of the Yorkshire favourite Christmas recipe competition with my entry "Coffee with walnut and meringue pie," run in The Press in December.
Today, my husband John and I went along to the Krumbs Café, No 3-5 Tanners Row, Rougier Street, York, for our free lunch which was the prize for winning.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food, wonderfully cooked and served by happy people. It is to provide young folks with work experience opportunities, who have learning disabilities, who want to work, it is run by United Response. The Krumbs Café also caters for office and outside functions, give them a try.
Phone York 672572, they deserve a chance.
