I KEEP reading in The Press that the road works and traffic controls at the A19/Crockey Hill junction are supposed to be in operation from 9.15am to 4pm.
Could someone please remind the contractors of this? When they first started, they stuck to the 9.15am start, but since then the traffic light control has been starting earlier and earlier each day, so that it's now in operation from about 9am.
People are still travelling to work at this time and the earlier start is just pushing more and more traffic on to the single track road across to Naburn, causing jams there as well.
Come on - if you provide information about timing to assist people to plan their journeys to avoid the jams, at least have the decency to stick to it.
