Ask the physio...
IF you would like to take part in Race For Life but are worried about an old injury or unsure how to prepare and train for the event, then help is at hand.
The York Physiotherapy Practice, in Gale Lane, Acomb, will be offering free advice sessions to women taking part in the race.
They will be running small group sessions, giving general advice on preparing to run, or tips on how to improve performance.
They are also offering a half hour of one-to-one advice for women who have specific problems or old injuries that could cause them difficulties.
Once women have entered the race and have their registration number they can telephone York Physiotherapy Practice on 01904 784055 to set up a free consultation with one of its chartered physiotherapists.
