A CHARITY set up to provide activities for children with special needs will be boosted by two teachers.
Eamonn Molloy and Andy Hedges, from Bootham School, are running their first Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon on Sunday to raise money for SNAPPY.
Mr Molloy, head of Design Technology at Bootham, said: “Students from the school have been helping the charity and a group went there in the summer to paint a mural to decorate the building.
"It’s an excellent cause and we just want to do all we can to help."
Mr Hedges added: “A colleague of ours took part in the first Yorkshire Marathon last year and she inspired us to do it – if she can, we can, and I’m quietly hoping to put in a good time!"
