THREE police officers injured while bringing a Selby street brawl under control have been released from York Hospital.
As reported in The Press yesterday, officers were called to Micklegate after trouble flared in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Six officers were injured in the melee - one received a black eye and two others cuts and bruising.
Two concussed officers and a third who suffered a hand injury were taken to hospital and released yesterday.
Insp David Pegg, of Selby Police, said the officer with the hand injury would unlikely be available for work.
Two men were arrested following the brawl. One was released without charge, and a second was interviewed in connection with the assault on the police officers before being released on police bail.
Insp Pegg said: "I'd like to thank Ian Wright from Disco Inferno for his assistance giving first aid to an officer, despite the trouble not being linked to the club.
"It was a very busy Saturday night in Selby, but this incident in particular has caused us concern."
Witnesses should phone North Yorkshire Police on 0845 6060247.
