A YORK school choir has won through to the latter stages of the BBC's Songs of Praise School Choirs competition for the second year running.
The pupils will be featured on the programme with other finalists on March 18 and then the final itself will be broadcast a week later.
Director of music at Bootham, Paul Feehan, said: "The choir is really excited about the competition - last year it was wonderful to reach the finals and to do it again this year is a double bonus.
"The BBC are coming to Bootham to do some filming of the School and our rehearsals, and then the finals themselves take place at The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. It's all a great experience for everyone!"
The Bootham School choir will sing a traditional setting of the hymn Love Divine All Loves Excelling together with their chosen work The Lily And The Rose, by Bob Chilcott.
