BACK in the 1960S and 1970s, there was a song with the line “suppose they built a bridge and no one came”.
It referred to the Humber Bridge.
Could not this song be re-issued and dedicated to the bridge now being built to carry pedestrians and cyclists over the York/Scarborough line?
