I, LIKE many, enjoyed the Tour de France coming to York. It attracted many new visitors, French and Dutch, who may not have come to York otherwise.

The Grand DeParty concert was obviously over budget and would have been better at Bootham Crescent, which was more centrally located and almost on the route.

Overall it was a great day and showed that York and Yorkshire can organise major events (très bon).
