CADETS from the 2487 Easingwold Squadron have been thanked after raising £458 for the Royal Air Forces Association Wings Appeal through a collection in Haxby and Wigginton.
A further £168 was raised by Cpl Rhiannon Parker-Nicholls through a sponsored charity run, with an additional £257 raised in Easingwold on behalf of the Thirsk Branch RAFA.
Dick Gray, York Branch RAFA chairman, thanked them for their efforts, saying demands for welfare services continued apace and as the RAFA membership aged, the assistance of air cadets played an increasingly significant part in fund raising efforts.
