A cuddly customer, superheroes on and off their bikes and angels with friends were just some of York area's contribution to Children in Need.
At Skipton Building Society's branch in Parliament Street, staff members Superman and Wonderwoman, among other heroes, served coffee and cakes for Pudsey Bear and other customers. Their efforts raised just over £100.
At Hickory's Roadhouse and Grill on the A64 near Flaxley, manager Jon Rowlands tried to eat four whopping food challenges. He gave up before the last pancake, but not before he had raised more than £500.
The angels were at Boots branch in Coney Street - well away from the ghastly creatures who visited Joseph Rowntree School.
