POLICE investigating an assault on a York man have released a CCTV still of a vital witness.
Detectives said the 23-year-old victim was attacked in the early hours of Sunday July 27 in Coney Street.
He was not physically injured but was shaken by his experience.
Officers said they were trying to trace a white man, with a slim build and short hair, who was wearing a light coloured polo shirt with horizontal stripes and light coloured trousers.
Detective Sergeant Mark Jackson, of York CID appealed for the man captured on camera to come forward and contact police, as he might have vital information which could help the inquiry.
