A DICKENSIAN Fayre will take place in Riccall for the Christmas lights switch on.
The event on December 6 is from 4pm till 7pm will feature festive stalls on the village green with hot roasted chestnuts, Mulled wine and warmed cider served by the Dickensian Dollies, along with home-made soup and hot dogs from the Pickwick Porkies.
Visitors will also be able to warm themselves around the brazier while listening to Ebor Brass Band, while there will be traditional fair ground rides in the Hare & Hounds car park.
People are being invited to buy a candle and help light the path up to the church where refreshments will be available, a tombola, Christmas tree competition, and a memorial tree to remember lost loved ones.
Santa and the Town Crier will be opening the fayre and turning on the Christmas lights.
