HUGE congratulations to New Earswick Musical Society on their performance of Jerry Herman’s Mack & Mabel at Rowntree’s Theatre last week.

The whole company worked hard to sustain this fast-moving show and special praise must go to the two leads, Steve Tearle and Julie Hannah.

Once more, the public should be aware that this gem of a theatre needs support from the people of York.

It is run by volunteers and without their time and effort we would lose this venue.

Finally, let’s not forget the orchestra, directed by Don Pears, and the direction of Anne McCreadie.
