YORK'S city-centre Christmas tree has been installed, ahead of the official lights-switch on tomorrow.
Workmen lifted the tree into position in St Helen's Square yesterday morning.
The lights were due to be put on last night and they will be officially switched on tomorrow, when the Lord Mayor of York and his grandchildren are joined by a brass band in the square.
