KICK out that filthy bass and let those sirens shriek: the Klaxons have arrived. The new rave label appears to be a misnomer at first listen.
Of course, there are the eponymous klaxons and jittering vocal samples on the excellent Atlantis To Interzone. And there's the scuzzy remake of Grace's dancefloor classic It's Not Over Yet.
But Klaxons are resolutely an indie band - an indie band with some great pop melodies and a fun-time, jump-up-and-say-yeah! attitude. So go elsewhere for your electro beats and synths.
Latest single Golden Skans is the standout pop track. But don't be fooled by the catchy hum-along chorus. Myths is awash with crazy psychedelic lyrics.
From Totem On The Timeline, we have: "At Club 18-30 I met Julius Caesar, Lady Diana and Mother Teresa." The insane lyrics and infectious melodies are all held together by a manic energy - the kind of energy that gets kids dancing.
