I REALISE that for some time now people are losing faith in our two main political parties, and feel it necessary to get their own back by a protest vote for Ukip.

Before bringing our country into disrepute by this action, can I plead with them to consider the following points.

Do you really support the idea of turning our country back by supporting a party whose manifesto discriminates against you, if:

1. You are not British born and bred.

2. You are female.

3. You are disabled.

4. You are gay.

5. You are retired and have emigrated to Europe.

6. You have decided to follow your career in Europe.

Spare a thought for the future of the NHS under Item 1. Also the variety of foreign cuisine enjoyed by all of us.

Migrants contribute more to the country than they take out and that is only in financial terms.

You cannot measure the huge benefits to us all living in a multicultural society, so please let our culture continue to develop and don’t make us a laughing stock of Europe.
