I WAS quite miffed when I read the letter of November 15 from Tony Fisher regarding the deterioration of Waterworld.

I belonged to Ryedale Stadium and then Courtney’s, as it was then called. I was one of the first members there and after 18 years have just finished.

We’ve had a couple of managers who weren’t really suitable for the upkeep, but along came Colin Molloy; what a manager. He and his devoted team kept the place as best they could.

I have no complaints and by the membership we had for years showed how manyuch folks kept coming. It all boils down to money, the root of all evil. Full marks to the following managers after Colin.

There is always someone who will complain.

Providing I am still around I will welcome the new complex and support Yearsley Baths, my old stomping ground. Do stop complaining.
