I READ Liz Edge’s letter of November 21 with much amusement as the Ukip she is describing is not the party I know, nor are her claims that our manifesto is anti-everything.
How are we anti-woman when out of 24 MEPs seven are women? How are we anti-disabled when our own spokesperson on disabilities is disabled and a woman? How are we anti-people not born in Britain when not only was one of our MEPs born in Pakistan, but we have hundreds of activists who were not born in this county and many activists who are gay.
I would also like her to explain how we are anti-anyone who has decided to move abroad.
No one, least of all Ukip, would deny the benefits that immigration has brought in the past and that is not what my party is all about.
Such claims are the terrified last screams of the ruling political classes. We know, like all these others do not, that when elected we work for the people. They are our bosses, not the other way around.
