A PENSIONER was taken to hospital after he was involved in a car crash this evening.
Police and firefighters were called to a two vehicle collision on the A1237 near Clifton Moor, at 4.30pm when it was believed people were trapped in their cars.
However, on arrival, the crews found all drivers and passengers at the side of the road and a 78-year-old man was taken to York Hospital for a precautionary check-up.
