POLICE have urged the driver of a red Subaru to contact them following an incident in York.
A woman in her twenties was walking along Windmill Lane towards Tang Hall at about 8.10pm on Friday, November 21, when the Subaru vehicle drove alongside her very closely and then mounted the kerb.
On two occasions the driver got out of the car, went to the rear of the vehicle and then got back into his car, and police said he did not speak to the woman, and she was not hurt.
However, police are concerned about the man’s behaviour and his well-being.
They would also like the man to explain his actions in driving so close to the woman.
The driver is described as white, about 40, and was wearing a baseball cap and a dark-coloured hooded top, and the car was an old style Subaru in red with black markings on it.
Anyone who saw the incident or can identify the man should phone North Yorkshire Police on 101 or send an email to andrew.pearson@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
