A CHARITY supporting those who have recently lost loved ones is giving women the chance to have a pre-Christmas clear out.
Cruse Bereavement Care is hosting Swap n Style on November 29 for people to exchange their old dresses for something new.
Cat Adlam, a volunteer for the charity in York and North Yorkshire, said: “Prepare for party season by swapping the dresses you don’t wear for ones that you will.
“Get creative and add a couture touch to your new finds with in-house or DIY sewing machine alterations, and accessorise with revamped jewellery, bring your bling for quick repairs and makeovers, all in aid of Cruse York.”
The event begins at 7.30pm at Calvary Chapel Church, in Barbican Road, York, and the £5 entry price includes refreshments, delicious cakes, and a raffle. The charity is also launching its Friends of Cruse appeal this month.
They are looking for 50 people to support their work by giving £5 a month to train more volunteers.
