GUESS what? Despite huge numbers of objections, despite the availability of viable brownfield sites and despite proposals blatantly conflicting with their own planning policies, City of York Council is recommending that Yorwaste’s expansion into the green belt at Harewood Whin be approved.
Oh, did I mention that the council is also co-owners of Yorwaste?
To everyone that values the precious green spaces around York and believes only in responsible development, I urge you to make your objections known.
When we are all parked on the ring road, competing with the dozens of extra daily HGVs, faced with the expanse of concrete and wondering where all the fields went – it will be too late.
