A SERIES of crime prevention films will be launched in Harrogate.
The Harrogate District Community Safety Local Delivery Group has produced the films as part of its latest campaign to tackle crime and promote community safety.
The four films, which give advice on getting home safely after a night out, burglary and sneak thieves, preventing cycle theft, and helping older people stay safe at home, will be shown on Thursday, December 4, at the Harrogate International Centre, then made available online.
Harrogate Borough Councillor Margaret Atkinson said: "The films produced will enable the Harrogate District Community Safety Local Delivery Group to reach as wide an audience as possible.
"All the films are no longer than 60 seconds, so they are short, sharp, punchy and straight to the point. They cover a wide variety of issues, including cycle theft, older persons’ safety, sneak in burglaries, and getting home safely, which ties in with our Christmas safety message for this year."
More films are expected to be released over the coming months, and will be available on social media, and at saferharrogate.org.uk
