TRAFFIC was disrupted on a York street following a burst water main yesterday.
A spokesman for Yorkshire Water said the incident, in Tadcaster Road, Dringhouses, was "a significant burst" to a 12-inch water main and took place in the early hours of Friday.
Engineers were at the site throughout Friday trying to make repairs, but could not say how long the work would take.
The spokesman said: "The leak has been isolated and temporary traffic lights have been set up to allow our team to work on the affected area.
"We will do everything possible to try and resolve this issue as quickly as possible and would like to apologise to any customers or motorists affected."
