FIRE crews were called to a three-storey terraced house in Kings Road, Harrogate, at just before 3pm yesterday.
A spokeswoman for the Fire Service said a quantity of personal belongings had caught fire in the bottom room of the building, which was being used as a bedroom.
Two men were in the building at the time.
One managed to get out, the other had to be helped out and was taken to hospital as a precaution, but was not believed to be injured.
Crews put out the fire, which was not believed to be suspicious.
