A LEARNING support practitioner from York College has launched a children's book.
Claire Newby wrote The Fruit Bugs for her son William, who invented the Fruit Bugs as imaginary friends as a toddler.
Claire said: "When you are running round after a small child you don’t really have much time to sit down and write. I often said I should make a note of the great creative stories about William’s imaginary friends.”
Claire started the self-publishing process in June this year and wrote her first book for pre-school and primary aged children with the help of an illustrator at Authorhouse, and lots of discussion with William, who is now nine.
