I’D like to thank the concert-goers and every single one of the 80 performers who helped raise more than £400 for St Nicks charity through the autumn concert last month.
The musicians delivered a fantastic cocktail of music: from modern classical pieces to opera arias, bluegrass, show songs and jazz.
The evening showcased professional musicians, pianist David Hammond, cellist Catherine Strachan and soprano duo Incantare, as well as budding talent from York St John University student ensembles and a large community choir Communitas.
A big thank you also goes to the university which kindly hosted the evening at their newly refurbished Temple Hall. “Great mix, more please!” sums up the excellent feedback from the audience and we hope to repeat the success next year.
