WHEN does Christmas begin? Officially it’s Advent, the fourth Sunday before December 25. But our other religious houses, the high street shops, would have us believe the festivities should commence sometime in September.
However, in York we know precisely when the season began; yesterday with the Civic Party’s reception for elderly residents at the Assembly Rooms.
Perhaps, then, now would be an appropriate time to wish all of our readers a very Merry Christmas.
