FIRE crews have worked through the night to battle a fire at a farmhouse near Boroughbridge.
Three fire engines were sent to a farm on the A168 between Boroughbridge and Allerton Park, after a call at 10.45pm last night.
A fire service spokesman said smoke alarms had woken the occupants, who were out of the house by the time firefighters arrived.
The blaze started in the living room, which was completely destroyed by the flames. The rest of the house's ground and first floors were left with smoke damage.
The last fire crew left the scene just after 1.30am.
