THE charity Shelter posted on Twitter the other day that the Bill to end revenge evictions was backed by government and had cross-party support.
They also kindly posted a list of MPs who voted to support it, and I noticed that neither Julian Sturdy nor Hugh Bayley were on that list.
In a city where rents are extortionate, at a time when 90,000 people in the UK are officially homeless, I’d like to know why it appears our two local MPs didn’t vote to protect vulnerable people from ruthless landlords.
Did they actually vote against the Bill? Did they have more important business to attend to?
I hope they can put us all in the picture.
