A VILLAGE school is celebrating after Ofsted inspectors deemed it to be “good”.
St Martin’s CE Primary School, in Fangfoss, is ranked as good in all key areas in its latest Ofsted report. Inspectors found the school benefits from very effective leadership by the headteacher and has raised pupils’ achievement since the previous inspection.
Pupils are described as “polite and courteous” and proud to be members of the school.
Paul Edwards, headteacher, said: “I am absolutely delighted with our Ofsted outcome, and really pleased and thankful for the staff, governing body and our families, who all work so hard together to continually improve what we are able to offer our young people.
"It is pleasing to see Ofsted recognise the quality of teaching and the achievement of pupils has improved even further since the last inspection, and we look forward to continuing this as we embark on the next phase of our journey forward.”
