A COLLECTION of music by the York Minster Choir has been released in honour of St Peter.
The music was recorded during the choir’s patronal festival on St Peter’s Day on June 29, and features 22 tracks conducted by Robert Sharpe and accompanied by David Pipe on the organ.
The Very Rev Vivienne Faull, Dean of York, said: “This year, we marked St Peter’s Day with the blessing of the new statue on the East End, so it seems only fitting that we continue the celebration by sharing the music of the feast day with this new CD.”
St Peter’s Day at York Minster is available from the York Minster Shop before it is released nationally next year. The CD costs £10, and can also be bought at yorkminster.org/shop
