MORE than 100 new affordable homes are being planned for the East Riding under the council’s new scheme.
The East Riding of Yorkshire Council is working on a project to build 46 new homes, buy and renovate 75 homes, and bring ten long-term empty homes back into use.
The scheme could be part-funded by the council and the Government’s Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) with a £3.275 million grant, if the council’s cabinet agrees to accept the cash at a meeting next week.
The 131 new homes are expected to be completed between 2015 and 2018.
