SO, according to D Scorgie (Letters, December 4) there is no such word in British law as brothel.
Just to put him right, it is an offence under Section 33 & 33A of the Sexual Offences Act 1956 “for a person to keep a brothel.....”. It would appear Mr Scorgie that the word does actually exist in British law.
