Cat owners can give their pet a special mention on a Christmas tree and raise money for charity.

York Cats Protection is urging well wishers to sponsor a bauble in their cat’s name or that of a friend’s cat on its festive tree at its centre in Huntington Road.

Money raised by the sponsorship will be spent on the charity’s work.
