WE always seem to hear bad news but hey, there are good things that happen and there are still some jolly decent people around.
After visiting my elderly mother recently, I dropped my mobile phone in the street around the corner. Someone found it, rang the first contact who was a work colleague and delivered my phone to my place of work. I wish I was able to thank the individual in person.
This good deed has not been forgotten.
More recently I used a self-service till in a city centre supermarket and forgot to pick up my change.
The security guard handed the change to staff after I’d left and they returned it to me after I called back at the store.
Very unexpected to have money returned but a good deed indeed and I sought out the security guard to thank him in person.
