WITH reference to W D Smith’s letter in The Press of December 4 in which he seems to reluctant to mention councillors by name, I have no such reservations.
I take it that Councillor A is James Alexander and on that point I agree. James and I have had a difference of opinion for a long time and because of this I have send all my queries to Councillor B, Sonja Crisp.
I have always found Sonja responsive to my queries which have been within her ability to influence or control; any that have been outside her control she has passed to the relevant department to be dealt with.
I recently had a query about the 13A bus service which is routed via The Holly Bank loop. She was unable to answer my query but passed it to the person concerned and I received an answer to my query within 24 hours.
I am sure that Councillor C, Joe Riches, would also endeavour to answer any query I had if he was able to. WD Smith has not given the councillors a chance to defend themselves. If you are going to criticise, name names.
AP Cox, Heath Close, Holgate, York.
