A CAMPAIGN to make people more aware of how they can help people with dementia has been supported by North Yorkshire County Council.
Dementia Friends is an Alzheimer’s Society project which was launched in May and now has more than 400,000 people signed up across the country.
Its aim is to give people an understanding of dementia and the small things that can be done to make a difference to people living with the condition.
People can sign up to become a Dementia Friend by watching an online video which takes less than ten minutes to complete at www.dementiafriends.org.uk or attending a local Dementia Friends training event – details of these are also on the Dementia Friends website.
