A DISTRAUGHT mum is pleading with shoppers to contact her if they know anything about her daughter's lost childhood toy.
Three-year-old Mollie Ann Wilson lost her white rabbit in York Designer Outlet on November 24 but her mum, Helen Palmer, from Selby, still maintains hope it will be returned safely.
Miss Palmer, 34, who works for Age UK, said: "I usually say no to her taking it in.
"When we realised it had gone we re-traced our steps but couldn't find it.
"Someone said they had seen it perched on a bench but when we looked it wasn't there.
"She's very upset and I have to tell her the rabbit has gone on holiday because there's nothing else I can say to someone that age.
"It has always slept with her and been her favourite which is why I'm cross with myself for taking it in with us."
The toy has been with Mollie Ann since she was a baby and is described as 30cm in length with a pink and red button on her stomach, and short ears.
"I'm just hoping that if someone reads this they will think about it and hand it in," added Miss Palmer.
"I feel upset in my stomach that she has lost it and blame myself."
Anyone with information should call Miss Palmer on 07855720865.
