HAVING digested the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement, it’s easy to conclude that more people in work continue to support George Osborne’s financial planning than become unemployed backing the vacuous strategy of Ed Balls.
On this occasion, stick with the devil you know. Jumping back into the proverbial mire thinking the grass is greener over yonder is not a sensible option.
We all know times are hard and some families are finding life difficult, but nothing compared to the rest of Europe, particularly France.
At least our employment and productivity figures are rising, the basis for an improvement in this standard of living.
