AN ELDERLY cyclist was injured in a hit and run incident with a large goods vehicle in York.
The 84-year-old woman was cycling in Huntington Road at the junction with Gladstone Street at about 8.50am on Monday when she was hit by the vehicle, which did not stop at the scene, and drove towards the city centre.
North Yorkshire Police said the woman suffered a leg injury and is currently recovering in York Hospital, and urged anyone who saw the incident to contact them.
