A STATELY home in East Yorkshire is preparing to display hundreds of stunning perennial plants for visitors to enjoy.
Burton Agnes Hall is lighting up its corner of the Wolds in March by filling the ground floor with imaginative, exotic displays orchids.
On the weekend of March 7 and 8 March, hundreds of the plants will adorn the Elizabethan home.
Orchid expert Ray Creek will be on hand to answer questions and provide advice about growing and caring for orchids.
Plants will be on sale along with orchid-related goods displayed at stalls around the Hall's ground floor.
Simon Cunliffe-Lister said: “Orchids are extremely versatile plants and flower for many weeks or even months at a time. We decorate our home with orchids year-round as they are both exquisitely beautiful and surprisingly easy to care for; we hope that you might feel inspired to keep these magnificent flowering plants in your own home.”
Visitors can also wander in the woodland walk to catch the final weekend of the snowdrop opening.
