Hambleton District Council officers and councillors have raised more than £600 for local charities in a week.
The council’s choir Hambleton in Harmony raised £340 by singing at Sainsbury’s Northallerton store and and donated food to Hambleton Foodshare; officers took part in a bake-off which raised £180 for the oncology ward at the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, and a wear jeans to work day raised £110 for the Friends of Chernoboyl’s Children (Northallerton) charity.
