YORK Hospital will support health awareness campaigns throughout the New Year by illuminating purple lighting on its upper floors.
The scheme follows the Purple Lights Of Hope for pancreatic cancer awareness month in November.
It will also be used to help celebrate events including Sun Awareness Week, World Asthma Day, World Diabetes Week, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and World Aids Day when coloured lights associated with the awareness campaigns will shine bright above the hospital.
