AN East Yorkshire dinner lady has hung up her apron and utensils for the final time.
Goole Academy’s June Holloway has left her job following 18 years at the Centenary Road school.
Mrs Holloway has served up cottage pie and jam roly-poly to generations of students and staff and chose Christmas lunch day for her grand finale last week.
She was presented with cards and presents by friends and colleagues.
Mrs Holloway said: “I have really enjoyed my years here at the school, during which I have seen many changes to the buildings and many improvements to the dining arrangements.”
