EVERYONE makes mistakes, nobody is perfect. Fortunately most people learn from their errors. But what about those who don't?
The more judgmental might have no sympathy where a convicted criminal is concerned, but pub landlord Gordon Watkins thinks otherwise. This is why he has taken house burglar Jason Gaskell under his wing. And his selfless act has given Gaskell a chance to save himself from jail, if he stays out of trouble for six months.
This really is an act of compassion and one that sums up the true spirit of the time of year.
We say good for you, Gordon Watkins.
