CONTEMPORARY artwork created for York Minster’s remembrance project is on display at York St John University.
The six eight-foot-high medals were created as a reminder of the great sacrifice of those who gave their lives during the First World War conflict.
Created by two 17-year-olds, working with York Youth Offending Team and York Minster as well as professional artists CBloxx and Jaypee, the medals were inspired by the King’s Book of York Heroes, which is housed in York Minster as a memorial to York’s citizens who were killed in service during the conflict.
The exhibition is available to view in the De Grey foyer, accessible via Lord Mayor’s Walk.
