THE official jersey for the Tour de Yorkshire has been unveiled for general sale by its designers.
Cycle-wear company Milltag, founded by Leeds-born Ed Cowburn and his business partner Pete Kelsey, have collaborated with several artists and teams, including Matrix Pro Cycling, who count Laura Trott among their riders.
The official event jersey is available for sale in specific fits for both men and women. Pre-orders are being taken at www.yorkshire.com/shop for £55 with those who want a jersey before the race begins being urged to order before April 23.
Milltag have also designed the four jerseys which will be awarded on the race podium including the overall race leader, the King of the Mountain, and the sprint/points jersey which they plan to unveil in the coming weeks.
Ed Cowburn, designer of the jerseys, took inspiration from Yorkshire's historic textile industry. He said: “You could say that we've woven Yorkshire into every jersey."
