YORK CVS is holding hustings to give voluntary sector workers chance to quiz those fighting for election in York.
A York Outer hustings will take place on Thursday, April 16, while a York Central event is set for Wednesday, April 22. Both are free events and start at 6.30pm at the Priory Street Centre, off Micklegate.
Luke Barnett, chief executive of York CVS, said: “We’re delighted that all candidates represented in the General Election will be attending. It should make for two engaging and stimulating evenings.
“I know that my colleagues in the voluntary sector are very interested in who could represent them locally and nationally.
“I am sure that there will be a wide variety of questions on a range of issues”
Both hustings are being chaired by Dr Jim Buller, from the Department of Politics at the University of York.
